Ignoring Saddam's Scientists

American climate scientists shouldn't take the Bush administration's dismissal of their work personally. After all, they ignored the Iraqi scientists responsible for dismantling Hussein's weapons programs beginning in 1995, when a relative of Hussein's was known to have defected and tipped off international authorities.

And yes, the CIA had already heard reports from the scientists overseeing these scrapped programs before Colin Powell was holding up little vials filled with baking soda, or whatever it was, in front of the U.N. General Assembly.
