All Your Base Are Belong To Us

Someone I worked with back in 2000-2001 in the SF Bay area* just got an account on Facebook and friended me. In honor of that, I give you this reminder of what all the kids were laughing about those days: a techno remix of the intro to a Japanese video game that was badly translated into English.

* Otherwise known as Geekvana. It's a good place for people whose books constitute about half the gross weight of their possessions, people who have gingerbread parties where they recreate the scenes of famous battles (like the farmhouse the English defended at Waterloo, for instance) in cookies and candies, those who like to be sartorially prepared for mountains to show up in their offices (not unlike Seattle in that respect,) and babies with reset switches. Or perhaps, just one baby with a reset switch, but I expect he will be cloned.

Ah, reminds me of my own Bay days. I even downloaded the original game and an emulator to play it, only to find that it's insanely hard and not much fun.
