Generation Overwhelmed

Thomas Friedman accuses young people of being passive and too quiet. Malarkey. Courtney Martin at The American Prospect explains that we're just a bit overwhelmed with all the stupid, hideous things that his generation is either doing, or has done sod all to stop.

We're supposed to be taking to the streets to prove how serious we are? How about you quit cheerleading for murder and mayhem in the editorial pages of the Paper Of Record to prove how serious you are.

Thomas Friedman is a tool. Pay him no mind.

Just 'cause one writes for the NYT don't make one "right", or even worth reading.

His columns are great for cleaning car windows with, though.
