About those 190,000 weapons missing in Iraq.

This magpie wasn't surprised to hear the news, given that Dubya's military has this longstanding problem with keeping tabs on armaments.

If our Dear Leader couldn't see that arms were kept out of the hands of Iraq's insurgents in 2003 and 2004, why should his minions be doing anything different now?

I liked this bit from the Guardian article about it:

The failure of the US to account for so many missing weapons is an embarrassment for the White House after months in which it has repeatedly accused Iran of supplying weapons and explosives to the insurgents.

That should be nominated for understatement of the year.
