Blue Oyster Cult - (Don't Fear) The Reaper

Yeah, as much as the High Priest of There and I disagreed, the opening sequence of the TV miniseries version of "The Stand" was indeed the best possible video for this song. But I still don't want to have to look at it.

I'm not trying to be morbid today, but as Denis Leary says, sometimes this stuff is kind of funny. And if you only knew how much hearing this song made me laugh when I listened to it, kind of funny would be the appropriate way to describe the look you'd be giving me.

Funny look indeed!
That song is a classic, it's been around a long time. And speaking as a huge BOC fan who has seen them in concert several times, I am just wondering if you have never heard it before?
Try the live version, it REALLY rocks. Get your hands on their album titled 'Some Enchanted Evening' and hear some real rock.
YMMV,I am an old fart now. 47.

Yes, of course I've heard it before. I used to own an album that had it on. And note, it was part of the soundtrack to the TV series version of "The Stand", which I said right there that I've seen! (Jumps up and down)

So, with all due affection, thpbffft =P

OK then!

BOC doesn't get the respect they deserve, being from Long Island and all, but Buck Dharma has the greatest sound I can think of, and having seen them in Concert, I have to say that they really know their shit.

They aren't dumb rockers, that's for sure. One of the bands friends is John Shirley, sci fi and cyberpunk writer and punk band frontman, whose books Eclipse, a Song of Youth, seems pretty appropo these days.

If anybody cares.
