Washington State Dems Looking for People to Run

The King County Democrats are looking for people to run for office. And what a great idea. As I noted in my dispatch about Yearly Kos, a number of the speakers told us that one of the most important things we can do to re-energize our democracy is to run for office. Here's a great chance for those readers in Washington's King County region to get involved and take your commitment to the next level.

Here's the scoop: Run to be a Precinct Committee Officer.

Some important details:

Let us know if you decide to run.

How do you energize a democracy (the USA is a representative republic, by the way) by running as a socialist in the DNC?
The Democratic Platform is socialist at the base and communist at the fringe.
How do you help our government and our country with liberal traitors?

Don't pay for it. Get the signatures. You go around to your neighbors and have them sign. Then they're more likely to vote for you anyway. And they'll know your face when you come by with party stuff. And you get some exercize and get to know the precinct a little better. I'm sure someone in your local party has more info than me.

I was elected as my precinct's PCO in 2004, and have already filled out the paperwork for 2006. Before that, I was the acting PCO for the precinct that borders mine.

It's the least I can do to support and enable the Democratic vision for a positive American future.

Good on you, N. I'm very glad to hear that you are doing your part to help. Now, perhaps when I get back to Oregon, I will find a way to participate more actively myself. :-)
