WaPo has a piece today with the headline Long Time Physican To Head FDA Office of Women's Health. And when you read the second graf, you find out that this long time physican is even female!
Kathleen Uhl, most recently the supervisory medical officer in FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, is scheduled to take over the post next month, according to an agency release that will be made public today.
What a concept. The Bushies have figured out that real live doctor rather than a male veternarian might be able to head this office and, golly gee, there are even women doctors (!!) who can fill the role. Perhaps it's because they got rid of the guy who appointed the vet to the job last September? By the way, did we ever get a new FDA chief?Posted by Mary at November 21, 2005 10:47 PM | Health/Medicine/Health Care | Technorati links |
