Election Day

Well, today's the day if you live in Washington state. It's the day to get to the polls, or the last day to mail your ballot in, so be there or be square. I'll be joining the rest of the crew over at the Seattle Times' Backyard Blog for the grand finale of our big city paper blogging season if you want to pop over and say hello. They've even added comments to the posts, so chime right in if you feel motivated to talk back.

And with that, I'll leave you for now with a thought from Rob Corddry on yesterday's Daily Show when, while talking about the riots in France, he encapsulated virtually the only pleasurable political emotion now available to many Americans: schadenfreude.

"It's refreshing to see a country implode in a violent orgasm of hatred and know that they can't pin this one on us." - Rob Corddry
