Dipped in Bronze

From Tuesday's Daily Show...

Ed Helms: [Bush will] end up building a billion dollar dam in Arkansas.

Jon Stewart: Why would he build a dam in Arkansas?

EH: His plan will be to fight the water there, so we don't have to fight it here. Here in New Orleans.

JS: That doesn't make any sense.

EH: Oh, but look what we're talking about now.

JS: So no one's going to be held accountable for any of this.

EH: Ah, no. In fact, if history is any indication, they'll be hard pressed to find enough medals to pin on these guys. My sources tell me that the head of FEMA will be dipped in bronze and turned into an award, which will then be given to other officials.

Wednesday ...

Jon Stewart: [FEMA director] Brown was nominated to the post in 2003 and he intends to start the job any day now.

Jon Stewart: (On the President led investigation) Isn't that a job perhaps someone else should be doing?

Samantha Bee: No, No, No, No. Not at all Jon. To truly find out what went wrong, It's important for an investigator to have a little distance from the situation and it's hard to get anymore distant from it then the President was last week.

CNN is reporting "Some holdouts 'delirious'"

I imagine some of them are disconnected from reality, in a daze, asking strange questions, like "What didn't go right?"
