The Greatest Generation is "Unamerican"

dKos diarist Houston draws our attention to this Norquist quote:

...One side spits off labor law, one side spits off Social Security. We will all work until we're 65 and have the same pension. You know, some Bismark, German thing, okay? Very un-American. ...

As Houston says, Norquist's mouth needs to be pinned on all his DC Republican cronies. They're taking strategy from him, following his message discipline, and courting his approval. It's entirely legitimate to assume that they're on the same page.

This is actually a really old quote, which he gave to El Pais, I think. He's got some doozies generally. I could just about write the campaign ads now and if the Democrats had any guts at all, they'd nationalize every single campaign around Grover Norquist, Dick Cheney, and Tom DeLay.
