Kyoto Protocol

Annatopia has a post on the signing of the Kyoto Protocol and the progress of global warming that you should definitely read if you're interested in these issues.

The figures, talking about double digit ice shrinkage and later winters sound alarming. The pictures are... well, more viscerally alarming.

Science can tell us the facts, it can tell us where the problems are, but it can't tell us what to have a sense of urgency about. We have to come to that on our own.
