Phone Cards For Soldiers

Pandagon notes that the #1 request of convalescing soldiers is phone cards, as the military doesn't pay for long distance calls.

Here in Washington, you can help active duty military personnel call home via your local post office. The phone cards displayed by the register can be purchased there and donated directly via the post office to local bases, and those getting ready to deploy to Iraq.

So whether you send a phone card to someone who's trying to recover at Walter Reed, or make sure that someone who's heading to Iraq can call home now and again, please help if you can.
