The GOP has figured out what to do about all those new Democratic voters.

Make sure they can't vote. Or, barring that, make sure that balloting is so slow that people give up and go home without voting.

If we'd had any doubts at all about whether the Republicans think Dubya would lose in a fair election, this gets rid of them.

The Demorats are doing the same thing. A friend of mine was challenged by an observer from behind the Democrat pollworkers at my early voting site. They challenged that he had the wrong address on his VR card (he basically left off a street direction on a street where it doesn't matter whether or not you include it)...

I am hearing much more on the intimidation front from Kerry-lovers who are afraid he will lose...

*some* amount of challenges to voters is normal, and both parties have historically challenged voters. but the level of challenges that the
GOP is prepared to engage in in Ohio (and other states) is unprecedented. You tell me where else any party has challenged *14 thousand* voters *before* election day, or is paying thousands of poll watchers US $100 per day to challenge voters. this isn't keeping the election honest -- this is intimidation and obstruction.

and no amount of making the usual unsubstantiated claims that the democrats are doing the same thing can make the republican effort to discourage voters and steal this election go away.
