The final Kerry/Dubya debate.

John Kerry is supposedly a good closer, able to move out in front in the final days of a campaign that he had no assurance of winning.

So did Kerry close the sale tonight? Do you think he convinced independent voters to vote for him rather than Dubya? Or do you think that Dubya came back in this last debate?

The floor is yours.

I don't see any sway from this debate. Bush rallied his base well and John didn't have his strongest stuff tonight... Bush did not deliever a knock out - he just delievered the base.

Hi, I am way over on the east coast in New Jersey and I have been reading your blog with interest. I think you guys are terrific!

I think John Kerry definitely closed the sale with the final debate. And more than independent voters, I think it is the 5% whose primary number is a cell phone and the voters who were not polled who will make a difference for Kerry.

I think this was a rather disappointing debate. I wanted something new, something more, and it never happened. On the third try, Bush finally got something right, and Kerry was his weakest. Kerry even disappointed me when he brought up Dick Cheney's daughter. He disappointed me for not making Bush give a real answer about Roe v. Wade, and he disappointed me for not asking the President about his commitment to national security if he was willing to allow the name of an active agent to be leaked on a personal squabble.

Oh, and Kerry said that the borders were "more leaky." ugh....

How can anyone wonder if Bush won the debate? Here is what I saw and you wont hear about this on the news:

1. What was Bush getting at when he critized Kerry for quoting major network TV new sources then said never mind? To me he looked rediculus. Was he bashing the major networks who were showing the debate? Or was he so lost he didn't know what he was doing?
2. Kerry quoted the bible. Bush didn't and when given an opportunity to talk about religion, Bush still couldn't quote the bible. Makes me wonder.
3. Kerry's closing speech was passionate and inspiring. Bush's closing speech was dull and boring.
4. Was that spittle on the right corner of Bush's mouth in the begining of the debate? It really bugged me. Was he foaming at the mouth, or was he just sweating?

Well anyway, Kerry sold me.
