Things Get Broken In Najaf

Aljazeera has got a picture of a hole in the wall of the Imam Ali shrine, and during an incident in which each side claims the other was responsible, the dome of the shrine has now been damaged as well. I'm having flashbacks to Warner Bros. cartoons where the characters are left alone in the house where they always end up pulling ridiculously dangerous stunts in the vicinity of the One Object which absolutely must not be touched. Those stories never ended well for the One Object, or the participants.

This article says that the fighters are leaving town. We can all hope, but all I know for sure is that I've heard that before.
