Edwards As... Pessimist?

President Bush is now saying that Edwards is, of all things, a pessimist:

YORK (Reuters) - President Bush on Friday called Democrat John Edwards a pessimist on the economy and suggested his experience as a trial lawyer would tilt him toward policies that would hurt small businesses. ...

Is it just me, or is this the kind of thing that prompts people to look at Bush and wonder what color the sky is on his planet. And I don't think Bush wants to tangle with the argument about the kinds of companies 'hurt' by Edwards' law practice. I mean, Edwards, a pessimist? Come on, man, that's just desperation talking there.

Edwards didn't save a small town poisoned by a utility, he sued doctors for a 40% fee. And since the changes he forced have taken effect there has been no reduction in the rate of cerebral palsy. And he opposed legislation that would have supported all families with afflicted children.
