The other day, we noted that Dubya has sought legal help in dealing with the investigation into the White House leak that outed CIA operative Valerie Plame.
Today, the NY Times reports that federal investigators recently interviewed VP Dick Cheney concerning the Plame leak. They also interviewed several of Cheney's senior aides.
Since the story of the leak first went public last summer, the persistent rumor has been that leak came from someone close to the VP, the news of these interviews is a very interesting development.
More: On a related issue, John Dean has an interesting discussion of why Dubya is seeking outside legal help at Findlaw. Dean was White House counsel for Richard Nixon during the Watergate probes, so he has a pretty good idea of what he's talking about.
