Very interesting.

Dubya has hired a lawyer to represent him in the federal probe into the Valerie Plame leak.

To refresh your memory, Plame is married to Joseph Wilson, a former ambassador who revealed that the administration's claim that Iraq had tried to obtain uranium from Africa was based on fraudulent documents. That claim was included in Dubya's 2003 State of the Union speech.

Shortly after Wilson's revelation, Plame's identity as a CIA operative was leaked to US columnist Robert Novak by someone in the White House. The leak is generally agreed to have been in retaliation for Wilson's release of the information about the supposed Iraqi uranium deal.

One has to wonder why Dubya feels he needs legal representation in this matter.

The real question is whether Rove, Cheney, and Libby have hired lawyers.

indeed.

we were just thinking this morning about what it meant when clinton hired a lawyer during the lewinsky stuff (big trouble). and we're hoping that hiring a lawyer means the same for our Dear Leader.

Joe Wilson and his wife are just waiting for the invetigation to finish and maybe indictments then I am sure they will file a civil suit against Bush and his gang. Keep in mind that Bush can't refuse to testify in a civil suit. I just heard Mr Wilson on local station this week and that's what he implied. The discoveries will be fun to watch when the suit goes forward.

These animals don't care about anything except their ability to stay in power. They destroyed an undercover CIA agent' career while supporting a crook like Chalabi.
