That Iraqi wedding celebration that the US didn't bomb.

The UK Guardian has eyewitness descriptions of what US forces didn't do to villagers in Makr al-Deeb.

It looks more and more like this incident is like the 2002 wedding in Afghanistan that the US said it didn't bomb. The tip-off was when US Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt responded to charges of a massacre by saying that the military had 'operated within the rules of engagement.' That's also what the US said in Afghanistan.

More: The UK Independent takes a more restrained tone in its coverage of the Makr ad-Deeb incident, but leaves no doubt that it finds US explanations of what happened inadequate.
