Talking Heads

I now work at a place that has a big screen TV in a reception area. I happened to pass by it and heard the talking heads going on about Obama's minister.

"He said that Obama is a politician, and speaks according to his perspective, while he is a pastor and speaks the way a minister should."

"Well that's pretty damning."

What??!? No, idiot talking heads, that is pretty realistic and intelligent.

After all, look at the talking heads themselves. They are in the job of generating controversy and tut-tutting anyone they want to denigrate, without intelligence, thought, analysis, or facts. They are speaking from the media point of view.

It made me want to put a flowerpot through the television.

I love it when you can accuse someone of "tut-tutting." It seems like such a lame thing to do, and in this case, you hit the nail on the head.
