The Size of the Problem

"In an adult world," Rep. David Obey (D-WI) says the question to ask is, "What is the size of the problem you're trying to attack, and is the response to it sufficient?"

That was him, just a few minutes ago, on the floor of the House. It's a sensible statement made in defense of an increase in national security and law enforcement spending. I expect it'd be reasonable to apply that sentiment to a lot of other arguments ongoing about subjects like, say, global warming.
