If you live in D.C. (or presumably would be willing to move there) and would like to work for Governor Gregoire, here's your chance. As it's mentioned on the flip at the bottom, the application deadline is April 6th. The office of Governor Gregoire is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as the Director of the Governor’s Washington, DC office. This position is located in the Washington, DC Office and reports to the Director of the Governor’s Executive Policy Office in Olympia, Washington.
Role
The Director of the Governor’s Washington, DC Office serves as Governor Gregoire’s representative in Washington, DC. The incumbent manages the daily operation of the Washington, DC Office and is the liaison between the Governor’s Office, Washington State cabinet-level agencies (“state agencies”), and federal entities.
The Director represents the Governor and Washington State agencies to the congressional leaders, elected officials, and other high-level officials of public and private entities in Washington, DC. The incumbent may represent the Governor at federal and regional conferences, briefings, and national/regional organization events, such as the National Governors’ Association and the Western Governors’ Association.

Graduate degree in public policy, public administration, political science, law, or related field. An undergraduate degree may be accepted.
In-depth understanding and experience in policy development and/or analysis.
Ability to work effectively at all levels within the political environment including federal, state, city and county and familiarity with legislative and congressional process, policy development, and decision-making.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders. ...
