Redecorating
I'm finally getting around to playing with the default MT template. Nothing too radical just yet, but what do you think?
The font is smaller (is it too small?), the colors a little different, and the link text was darkened up to stand out better. I may attempt something radical in the next week or so, like adding a third column or getting some kind of graphic device to put up top, but I haven't decided. I guess that as long as I don't add a fifth column, I'll be on the right side of the law ;)
Posted by natasha at March 6, 2004 10:34 PM | TrackBackThe font-size: small on the body seems a bit unnecessary. It's a bit painful on people with high-resolution displays, though it's nice that you specified "small" rather than a px value. Overall I think it's quite nice.

Posted by: pessimist on March 7, 2004 03:29 AMFont too small, otherwise looks nice.
Posted by: Geodog on March 7, 2004 05:40 AMIt took me a minute to adjust, but I like the new font and think it all looks good.
Posted by: Scott on March 7, 2004 12:48 PMWhen specifying a font size, always use relative terms. That is, "-1" or "smaller". this way, when someone (in IE) selects View ==> Text Size ==> Larger, the page will re-display in a size that's easier for them to read.

Nice improvement, much crisper, but the font size is too small for these middle-aged eyes.
Posted by: Melanie on March 7, 2004 04:22 PMOkay, font's bigger again. Thanks for the feedback, all :)
Posted by: natasha on March 8, 2004 01:12 AMDefinitely better with the (slightly) bigger font. I think that we would need to use Arial if we wanted to go to a smaller, but cleaner displayed font size. However, I really like the link color and emphasis.
I vote for a picture at the top. :-)
