Kerry's supposed fling with an intern.

It didn't happen.

This statement from Alexandra Polier — the woman who the right-wing press (following the inital story by Matt Drudge) has linked romantically with Democrat John Kerry — settles the matter rather definitively.

We particularly liked this part of the statement from Polier's parents:

We appreciate the way Senator Kerry has handled the situation, and intend on voting for him for president of the United States.

Of course, now we can expect the wingnuts to claim that Polier and her parents issued their statements only after death threats from Kerry's enforcers.
