Dennis Kucinich.

Has anyone else noticed that Dennis Kucinich has risen up from the bottom of the Democratic presidential heap, at least in the latest caucus states? Kucinich got 8 percent of the vote in Washington, 5 percent in Michigan, and 15 percent in Maine's caucuses. In Washington and Maine, Kucinich actually got more votes than Edwards or Clark.

In Admittedly, there's a difference in who shows up for a caucus and who shows up to vote in a primary. But given Kucinich's usual 1 or 2 percent in earlier primaries, we're wondering if these figures mean anything.

Anyone want to take a guess?

Just got my absentee ballot yesterday here in Japan, and will be voting Kucinich for the March 2 primary in CA. I'm hoping he does well.

Even though he has received some delegates, I'm not sure I'd say he has "risen from the bottom."

My guess is that when Dean tanked it a few of his supporters who were with him because he had a chance to win but really liked the little vegan better went back to Kucinich.
