9/11 commission's report to come out before the presidential election.

Dubya has backed down from his attempts to force an end to the investigation of the 9/11 attacks on the original May 27 deadline. Under pressure from lawmakers and relatives 9/11 vicitms, the prez has approved a new deadline for the 9/11 commission's report, giving it until July 26 to issue its findings.

The White House has been accused of dragging its feet in providing the commission with information and access to classified documents.

Speaking of rhetoric trickery, White House shill Scott McClellan keeps on talking about how Fearless Leader has demonstrated "unprecedented cooperation" with the 9/11 Commission.

What's unprecedented about it is, of course, that they have delayed, denied, redacted, obfuscated, barred, conditioned, and otherwise stood firmly in the way of the Commission and its requests.
