Help ruin the American Family Association's day.
It seems that he right-wing American Family Association isn't getting the results it wants from its poll on same-sex marriage and civil unions. Given the results so far, we can see why the AFA is no longer promising to deliver the results of the poll to the US Congress:
I oppose legalization of homosexual marriage and "civil unions" 32.18% / 210732 votes
I favor legalization of homosexual marriage 59.64% / 390507 votes
I favor a "civil union" with the full benefits of marriage except for the name 8.17% / 53515 votes
Even though the poll is unscientific survey, the AFA is nervous enough about how things are going so far that they're trawling their email lists to bring in more anti-gay votes. (Alas, a Blog has a copy of the AFA's 'trawl' email here.)
As ampersand at Alas, a Blog suggested, we went over here and voted. You might want to go over there and add your vote, too.
