Faith-based you-name-it.

We've had Dubya wanting to turn social services over to 'faith-based' organizations. Then his brother Jeb approved a 'faith-based' prison.

Now we apparently need to get ready for 'faith-based' national parks.

This fall, the Park Service approved a creationist text, “Grand Canyon: A Different View,” for sale in park bookstores and museums. The book claims that the Grand Canyon is only a few thousand years old and developed on a biblical, rather than an evolutionary, time scale. At the same time, Park Service leadership has blocked publication of guidance for park rangers and other interpretative staff that labeled creationism as lacking any scientific basis, PEER [Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility] found.

The whole move to not only politicize science, but to inject religious ideology into it, reminds me a lot of the official art of the Soviet Union, a style called "Socialist Realism", by its advocates. Today this phrase evokes snickers and rolling-of-eyes, as people recognize that, whatever the artistic merits, what was depicted had little to do with realism.

What's needed is a catchy shorthand expression that effectively satirizes and rebuts Bush's version of "Socialist Realism", the faith-based this or that promoted by these neanderthals.
