US Muslims respond to Saddam's capture.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (the largest Islamic civil liberties group in the US) has issued its response to the news that Saddam Hussein is in US custody.

He must be brought before an international tribunal and then punished for the death and devastation his tyrannical rule imposed on that long-suffering nation and its neighbors.
Hussein's capture should also facilitate the rapid transfer of sovereignty to a representative Iraqi government and the swift withdrawal of American military forces. It is now time for the Iraqi people, free of despotic rule or foreign occupation, to take control of their own destiny.
Did someone expect that we would say anything else?
