Doing Karl Rove's Job
It seems that a group of Democrats have taken a page out of Georgia Republican party chairman and former Christian Coalition leader Ralph Reed's book. Reed was responsible for running the attack ads implying that Max Cleland, a decorated triple-amputee Vietnam veteran, was soft on bin Laden.
Many Democrats howled when such a disgusting and unfair tactic was employed against one of ours. Hopefully the same level of outrage will meet those who are now using an image of Osama bin Laden to suggest that Howard Dean will have a hard time beating Bush in the general election because of fear of terrorism.
If the Democratic party establishment doesn't pull their heads out of the holes they've had them in and realize that they'd better be suggesting that there's only one unelectable person in this coming race, the party will continue its steady decline. If Dean should win the nomination, they're just doing Rove's dirty work for him. I'm mad as hell about this, and I better hear some denunciations of these tactics out of any candidate who expects my support in the general election.
