Blogging All Around
Some Californians are voting for Arnold because they're mad at Gray Davis for raising tuition at college. Seeing the Forest writes a powerful refutation to this illogical reason. Dave's also been doing some great work on documenting how the right is trying to subvert the ability to use the courts to protect our rights, safety and health. Check out his excellent report (pdf) on Tort Reform.
Ruminate This is back and with writing as powerful and effective as ever. Today she drives the hypocrisy truck and brings us this passionate post which should make us all feel like doing something about today's outrage. We should honor Lisa with the title chief rabble rouser. Glad to see you back, Lisa.
The indispensible Digby covers the the outrage of Bush's Selling off Iraq. Certainly one of the primary reasons for why we are in the empire building game.
How to deal with Rush? Tristero recommends killing him with kindness. And it might just work.
Stephen thinks that perhaps the media is dumping on Rush too much, but then after reading Rush's own words, decides he's right not to be too sympathetic about Rush's plight.
Magpie, perhaps because she likes to collect shiny things, always has an excellent summary of the best of the political news. Today was no exception. One item of note was about how some in the White House are becoming very nervous.
With the exception of practicing extramarital sex in the Oval Office, Bush and his Iraq policy are now being charged with violating just about every imaginable tenet - from deceit and corruption, to incompetence and betrayal - of what has come to be called "good governance".
Magpie also brings us a headline she wished she had written.
How to Save the World has been writing a lot about how to create better blogs and currently has a very good post up about what you should check for if you want to write a good piece. Excellent advice for those of us writing without a safety net (aka: a good editor).
{Update: I've been getting names wrong all week, and now I realized I got Dave's blog name wrong too. Boy, do I really need an editor. :-( }
