Tempted to break the rule
...of not linking to something with sole explanation of "Holy ****, go read this!"
With some appropriate caveats, Different Strings tracks down references for some extremely alarming allegations about the War on Terror from a former member of Tony Blair's cabinet. It's... interesting.
Update: From the comments, James points to a Take Back the Media roundup on Meacher, the former minister making these allegations. As they say, "The biggest story of the year in England, and a huge story everywhere else in the world except the USA."
Posted by natasha at September 8, 2003 12:08 AM | TrackBackI read the Guardian article last night, thinking it was just a rant-n-rave session, until I saw who had written the piece. If even a fraction of what he said is true, a halfway decent investigative reporter could blow W's administration sky high.
The Different Strings site is an excellent way to flesh out the accusations in the Guardian piece and better determine the spectrum between fantasy and hard, cold reality.
Of course, that assumes not all the halfway decent investigative reporters are stuck working on their blogs.... ;-)))))
