Update: Read on for parking info, courtesy of the local Meetup mailing list...
There is a variety of parking garages near Westlake Park that charge a
reduced rate on Sundays:
7th and Pine Garage, Pacific Place Garage off of
6th Avenue between Pine and Stewart, Union Square Parking garage at the
corner of 7th and Union, The Cinema Parking lot at the corner of 6th and
Pike.
There are also a few large street-level parking lots along 2nd Avenue
between Stewart and Pine as well as the Bon Macy’s garage.
You can also park at the Seattle Center and take the monorail to Westlake
Center.
Parking may also be found on Capitol Hill and you can take the number 7,
43 or number 10 buses to downtown. It is best to get off at the station by
the Paramount Theater and walk to the Park.
For those in the North, Northgate has a large parking lot and you can take
the bus to down town from the park and ride. Here's a link for bus schedules.
I appreciate the fact that Dean is taking the campaign to Bush! Dogging his trail everywhere. I'm going to go the the rally at PSU on Sunday.
Posted by: Mary on August 20, 2003 12:44 AMSo, Natasha, are you going to be with us among the throngs on Sunday?
I just got home from my Legislative District Democrats monthly meeting (endorsement night, so it ran *late*). King County Dem chair Greg Rodriguez (a solid Dean backer) was there, announcing the time/place for the Sleepless appearance. Someone in the assemblage shouted out "let's get 5000 people there on Sunday!" Greg shot back, "make it 10,000!"
