Political Cliff Notes
Libertarian: "The decentralized, unregulated structure that works for the internet and open source software should be the gold standard of government and society. I'll gladly explain more after I'm done filing my unemployment forms and faxing out resumes."
Green: "Compromise is as bad as outright corruption, and there's no difference between the two major parties. I'll tell you why on the flight, right after I get my name off the government's secret No-Fly list."
Democrat: "Our future lies in finding the center of public debate, because liberals and progressives don't vote. We'll show you how much we plan to do for you as soon as our bill gets out of Congressman DeLay's committee.
Republican: "Conservatives are under constant attack by an onslaught of immoral communists that try to silence us because they hate god almost as much as they hate America. I'll tell you all about it in my new, best-selling book, or on one of my many television appearances."

The Clinton/Gore years brought us some great prosperity and most of us were happier and healthier. But, we also got lazy. Some things came just a little too easy.
The Republicans were mad so they got busy. The rest of us thought it would be a shoo in so we were lazy.
If the past nearly three years have not angered the rest of us enough to get our butts off our couches and go vote for a better America then we deserve another 5 years of this hell.
The rest of us need to be urging the non-republicans to vote, or we'll lose again. So, like General Clark says... "Crank it Up".
Getting people to the polls is going to make or break this one. Just sitting around getting all trippy on philosophical and idealistic thoughts without action will be the death of us all.
