Blogathon & Other Good Things
Wampum is on a mean Flashback Saturday tear, and Julia from Sisyphus Shrugged is covering MB's dinner break. Go read everything, & pledge if you haven't yet because now every dollar donated to Cure Autism Now will be matched. As their website points out, autism research reveives only around half the per capita funding of other less common neurological disorders, even as rates skyrocket inexplicably.
Wampum alerted me to the fact that Not Geniuses are also in on the Blogathon fun, and pledges will go to the Ascent School, which teaches autistic children. There's lots flying back & forth between the three of them about beer, & they're offering to do silly things for pledges.
Pen-Elayne is blogging for Global Fund for Women, and has a few words for blame the Greens Democrats. The Global Fund for Women helps with the sort of health and literacy issues that have proven time and again capable of lifting families around the world out of poverty.
Pandagon brings us one of his classic Peggy Noonan send-ups, you'll laugh, you'll weep, it's great. He's blogging for Amnesty International, a great voice for justice everywhere.
Digby has something to say about California's recall election.
Over at Left Coaster, Mary put up a great piece Friday on why Americans bought the Iraq-Al Qaida story.
