Blogathon Is Tomorrow
Ampersand has the following list of worthy Blogathon participants and a great offer, which I'll reproduce in part here because I want as many eyeballs to see it as possible:
- Pen-Elayne, who is raising funds for the Global Fund for Women.
- Wampum, who is raising funds for Cure Autism Now.
- And Eszter's Blog, who is raising funds for Planned Parenthood.
And here's a special offer - any reader of this blog who'd like an original drawing from me, go ahead and sponsor any of the above bloggers, and then let me know via email or the comments. If you sponsor (singly or in combination) for at least $15, I'll send you an original bighead pencil sketch (like the ones in the sidebar here) or a high-quality, signed print of any of my political cartoons - your choice. (These are the same prints that I charge $40 for in galleries, so this is a good buy!)
If you sponsor for at least $40, I'll send you the original artwork to one of my political cartoons (your choice which one). Or, if you prefer, I'll mail you an original, pen-and-ink bighead drawing.
Go ahead and make a pledge (or three!), but please do it soon - as I understand it, they'll each be blogging for 24 hours straight starting Saturday morning, so there's not much time left to make a pledge.
To this, I'd also like to add that Jesse at Pandagon is blogging for Amnesty International.
It's down to the wire, last minute and all that, so get going to one of these fine sites and rack up some good karma.
Update: Wampum is only $65 short of her $1000 goal. Help her meet it, and Cure Autism Now will get an additional $500 from a challenge grant.

Posted by: Elayne Riggs on July 26, 2003 04:54 PMElayne - You're not on already? Well that's no good, I thought I'd added you ages ago. (Swats hand) Bad 'Tasha, no cookie.
And thanks, btw, for doing the Blogathon for a good cause.
Stephen - Don't feel bad. With classes the way they've been lately, I feel like I've been gone for a year. It just doesn't take long at all to end up feeling completely out of touch.
